UKSG is looking for a new eNews Co-editor:
UKSG eNews is an e-newsletter produced every two weeks exclusively for UKSG members. The role of the UKSG eNews co-editors is to identify and approach colleagues from across the scholarly communications sector to produce editorial content in the form of opinion pieces and case studies to feature in the newsletter (you may also pass on news items for inclusion, but the main focus is the editorials). eNews has readers from a range of UKSGs constituent groups including academic libraries, academics, publishers and intermediaries, learned societies, and consultants and co-editors are encouraged to source editorials from across these groups.
Generally, the time commitment required for the role is 1-2 hours a month with the two co-editors working together to develop a schedule of editorials. We are specifically looking for someone from the commercial sector (publisher or intermediary) to work alongside eNews editor Tom Morley to develop the editorial pipeline.
Being a co-editor for UKSG eNews is a great way to develop your contacts and networks within the sector as well as providing you with the opportunity to help shape and deliver the direction and vision of the organisation. Co-editors are also granted a free place at the UKSG annual conference.
