Sage becomes the latest publisher to join the GetFTR – Get Full Text Research – service, providing users of its research with quicker access to the published content they are entitled to via their institutional subscriptions as well as access to OA and free content in both hybrid and fully OA journals.
Since launch in 2019, GetFTR has now welcomed over 28 publishers to the service, strengthening its commitment on improving access for the research community and now supporting streamlined access to over 52% of global research output.
On joining GetFTR Helen Duce, Head of Product Management, Sage commented “Central to our goal as publishers is to ensure that our researchers have quick and easy access to the highest quality trusted research – supporting discovery and knowledge. By partnering with GetFTR we continue to solidify our commitment to the community to enable this – by looking for new and novel ways to enhance and improve that research experience from discovery to access.”
Dianne Benham, Product Director, GetFTR added “Over the past 18 months we have been working hard to build out our offering for publishers, as evidenced by our new use cases including article reference integration, the GetFTR chrome extension (which provides links to published content from GoogleScholar, PubMed and other popular discovery tools) and support for content syndication arrangements with ResearchGate and ScienceDirect. We are delighted to have a publisher like Sage onboard as it continues to demonstrate the growing value proposition of GetFTR for all publishers – across all locations – in our shared goal of improving the researcher journey.”
