Jason Griffey
The National Information Standards Organization (NISO) has announced the appointment of Jason Griffey as the Director of Strategic Initiatives on the NISO staff. This new position was created to support the forthcoming merger between NISO and the National Federation of Advanced Information Services (NFAIS). Jason will be responsible for organising an annual conference and thought leadership meetings, and for building initiatives based on those meetings. Jason has over 15 years experience in libraries and community leadership, as well as a broad understanding of emerging technologies. For the last five years, he has run Evenly Distributed, a consulting firm that works with libraries on education and strategic planning related to cutting-edge technologies.
Miikka Lindberg
Copyright Clearance Center (CCC) has announced the appointment of Miikka Lindberg as Director of Professional Services based in CCC’s London office. An experienced manager with a background leading multinational teams, Miikka brings two decades of IT industry expertise. He also has a strong background in quality assurance, management of geographically dispersed teams and delivery of advanced customer care applications. Prior to joining CCC, Miikka worked in various roles at Nuance, and previously for Information Technologies Australia (acquired by Nuance). Earlier in his career, he worked in various management positions for Nokia Networks in Helsinki, Finland.
