ProQuest, in partnership with more than 50 publishers, is supporting libraries by providing unlimited access to Ebook Central holdings for all patrons – at no extra charge.
Starting next week, ProQuest Ebook Central customers impacted by COVID-19 will get unlimited access to all owned titles from these publishers until mid-June. This means that all licenses – including single-user and three-user models – will automatically convert to unlimited access during that period, helping librarians bridge the gap for their patrons in this rapidly changing environment. The unlimited access also applies to additional titles purchased until mid-June.
No action is required by librarians to switch on unlimited access – this will be done automatically, and the transition should be seamless for users.
“These are turbulent times, and libraries are facing unprecedented challenges,” said David Parker, Vice President of ProQuest Books. “We’ve been hearing from librarians around the world that they need unlimited access to help prevent interruptions to teaching and learning. We’re thankful to our publishing partners for working with us to help make this happen.”
The list of participating publishers, which is constantly growing, can be found on the ProQuest website, and any questions can be raised ProQuest representatives.
