Generally, the time commitment required for the role is 1-2 hours a month with the two co-editors working together to develop a schedule of editorials. We are specifically looking for someone from the commercial sector (publisher or intermediary) to work alongside eNews editor Tom Morley to develop the editorial pipeline.
In each episode we have an informal conversation with someone inspiring from the knowledge community and ask them to tell us about their career journey and what has motivated them along the way. Career paths are often ‘squiggly’ and can include detours and pitstops. Our guests will share their personal stories and shine a light on how varied the sector is and how there is no ‘one size fits all’ approach to managing your career. The podcast also explores common issues such as imposter syndrome and share advice on how to maximise opportunities when they are presented.
UKSG is delighted to announce the launch of its 2023 Innovation Awards, offering financial support to professionals and organisations seeking to develop new ideas and proposals for the wider benefit of the information community.
UKSG's OA APC-free journal, Insights, has just published a review of the articles published in this last quarter, and looks ahead to what is coming up. Plus, a new article from Andy Tattersall and Christopher Carroll examining the UK media in relation to reporting scientific research.
Andy Tattersall chairs our upcoming seminar on research communication, we have announced the open call for topics for the annual conference in 2024 and the latest article from our OA journal, Insights.
