Open Access Week 2022 takes place between the 24th and 30th of October. This year’s theme seeks to encourage connection and collaboration among the climate movement and the international open community. We have reached out to four institutions to find out more about their plans for OA week and what they hope to achieve through these events.

Open research publisher and service provider Ubiquity is joining the Berlin-based academic publisher De Gruyter.

ORE is the European Commission’s open access scholarly publishing platform, which is currently offered as an optional service for Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe beneficiaries to publish their peer-reviewed articles resulting from this funding at no cost to them.

Cambridge University Press has announced that more than 100 academic monographs are to be included in an expanded open access scheme.

DataSalon has announced the addition of a new advanced search interface in both PaperStack (comprehensive editorial reporting) and MasterVision.

The American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) – publisher of the Science Family of Journals – has selected Cadmore Media as its streaming partner on science.org.

Bristol University Press will join 20 other university presses in De Gruyter’s University Press Library (UPL), an eBook distribution model.

The University has signed a contract with Ubiquity to provide services to support open access research publishing activities, and will become part of the international Ubiquity Partner Network.

This policy stipulates that scholarly publications, research data, and research software be published openly. Open science thus becomes the standard for publication practices.
