EBSCO and AT-CRIS GmbH are partnering to support libraries looking to implement the FOLIO Library Services Platform. EBSCO and AT-CRIS will provide reliable implementation, hosting and support services to libraries in Germany.
AT-CRIS was founded in 2016 and is a product-independent consulting and implementation partner for libraries, universities and research institutions - not only in Germany. AT-CRIS has many years of experience in consulting and implementation, and brings experience in long-term operations support in institutions into the partnership with EBSCO.
AT-CRIS General Manager Andreas Engfer is looking forward to offering services and solutions around FOLIO to libraries. "Libraries in Germany now benefit three times when deciding to use FOLIO. They make use of the advantages of open source technologies, they do not have to worry about IT if hosting is provided by EBSCO and they get a genuine solution with the support of AT-CRIS during the implementation and afterwards."
EBSCO Information Services Director of FOLIO Partnerships, Mark Allcock, says the collaboration between EBSCO and AT-CRIS extends services available to libraries choosing FOLIO. "The AT-CRIS team has many years of experience in the management of numerous highly-complex projects and thus perfectly complements our previous offer for libraries in Germany. We look forward to offering EBSCO's unique combination of flexible and scalable cloud infrastructure capabilities combined with the project expertise from AT-CRIS to libraries in the German-speaking world."
FOLIO is a community of librarians, developers and service providers that have created an open source LSP that supports traditional ILS functionality with the ability to add additional value and services. The applications are modular and allow multiple vendors or libraries to contribute applications. By providing services for hosting and support, EBSCO is able to ensure that libraries of all sizes can take advantage of FOLIO regardless of their staff size.
