Acta Acustica and the CNRS (le Centre national de la recherche scientifique) have announced the successful conclusion of a pure publish open access agreement which enables corresponding authors affiliated with selected CNRS laboratories to publish open access in Acta Acustica free of charge. The agreement with the CNRS is the first open access agreement to be concluded on behalf of Acta Acustica.
Authors from CNRS laboratories included in the agreement represent a significant number of Acta Acustica’s corresponding authors who may now publish under a CC-BY licence free of charge. The agreement allows for 51 articles which may be published flexibly over time – there is no date by which articles must be published. Publication charges will be paid for centrally by the CNRS.
Acta Acustica is the journal of the European Acoustics Association (EAA) and reports on original scientific research in acoustics and engineering applications. Last year, the EAA selected EDP Sciences as its new publishing partner. In January 2020, the journal became open access, the first OA issue being published in February 2020.
