Ex Libris, a ProQuest company, has announced enhancements to the Ex Libris Pivot research funding database, a resource for global funding opportunities sources. The new Awarded Grants feature in Pivot enables researchers and research offices to search previously awarded grants from dozens of leading international funders. Pivot curates and normalises the awarded grants data that is presented, and further matches grants to scholars’ profiles and current funding opportunities.
The Awarded Grants search feature covers 35 international funders, including the following:
- US National Institutes of Health
- US National Science Foundation
- US Department of Energy
- US Department of Defense
- Leading UK research councils
- Wellcome Trust (UK)
- leading Australian, Irish, Finnish, Swedish, and Swiss funding sources
Researchers can now see how much money specific funders granted in the past and the type of projects that they funded; review previous grantees’ profiles to find potential mentors and collaborators; and view currently available opportunities from the same funder. Pivot users have access to full award details, including abstracts, subcomponents, and the chronology of recurring awards.
