6 January 2020
The Jisc digital archival collections group purchasing scheme is once again open to UK higher education libraries until July 2020 to support acquisition of static databases of primary source material.
Having created year on year savings for participating libraries, the scheme offers over 90 digital archive products from a number of publishers. The transparent and inclusive acquisition model removes the need to negotiate with publishers on an individual level, includes an automatic discount of 20% off the Jisc banded list prices and eliminates recurring platform fees.
Jisc member institutions collectively help each other drive down cost by group purchasing. More information on the scheme and products on offer are available on the Jisc digital archival collections group purchasing scheme webpage.
Jisc survey
Jisc is interested in getting feedback on the scheme to ensure it continues to meet Jisc members requirements around the acquisition of digital archival collections. Feedback via a short survey, from those who have actively participated in the scheme before and those who have not, would be appreciated.
The deadline to complete the survey is 24 January 2020.
