Staff and students at the Finland-based University of Turku now have access to 75 online multidisciplinary resources from ProQuest. This is the first university in the Scandinavian region to adopt this selection of primary sources.
Turku now has access to core collections such as the Art & Architecture Archive, British Periodicals, Early European Books, an extensive selection of historical newspapers, periodicals, and global studies databases. The university chose these databases after an analysis of their curriculum using a model developed by ProQuest. The analysis identifies gaps and offers specific examples of databases that could be used by students and faculty, with the aim of helping the university acquire exactly what it needs to improve research, teaching and learning outcomes.
