Situated amidst beautiful landscaped parklands six miles from the centre of Scotland's vibrant capital city, the venue for the UKSG 2003 Annual Conference and Exhibition is Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh. This major event offers the perfect opportunity for librarians, publishers, agents, information specialists and database providers from across the world to exchange news, views and information on the rapidly changing and developing international serials scene.
- Plenary sessions on topics such as developments in digital libraries, the future for vendors, e-only in the corporate sector, e-journal pricing models, re-engineering traditional library processes, analysing publishers' web log data, and open access.
- Eighteen workshops and briefing sessions for delegates to select from, including implementing COUNTER, authentication, copyright developments, the cost of e-journal administration, e-books, linking technologies, and serials cataloguing.
- A major trade exhibition and reviews of the latest products and services.
