16 March 2023

We are absolutely delighted to announce the winners of the 2023 sponsored places for the UKSG Conference.

Beth Montague-Hellen from the Francis Crick Institute has won the Merriman award and, thanks to sponsorship from the Taylor & Francis Group, will be attending the NASIG Conference in Pittsburgh as well as UKSG in Glasgow.

This year we were able to award four sponsored places for early career professional/ students. The winners are:

Ella Burrows from London School of Economics, with a place sponsored by Wiley

Andrew Marsden from Manchester Metropolitan University, with a place sponsored by AIP Publishing

Gordon McQueen from London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, with a place sponsored by the Royal Society of Chemistry

Christina Nguyen from the University of Toronto, with a place sponsored by UKSG

Congratulations to our winners!

The annual UKSG Conference is for everyone in the scholarly communications sector. It offers an inclusive and supportive environment for colleagues at the beginning of their careers and more established professionals. The conference is an opportunity to exchange ideas, meet new people and discover how the community is working to resolve the challenges facing the sector.

We are grateful to our sponsors whose generosity enables colleagues to attend the conference. If you were unable to apply for a sponsored place this year or if you know a colleague who would benefit from attending UKSG, there are still tickets available: https://www.uksg.org/event/conference23

We look forward to seeing both new and familiar faces in Glasgow next month.
