Established in 1926, Plant Physiology® is an international journal devoted to the physiology, biochemistry, cellular and molecular biology, genetics, biophysics, and environmental biology of plants. It is one of the world’s oldest, most highly cited, and most well-respected plant science journals.
The Plant Cell, established in 1989, is a leader among plant science publications, ranking among the top journals publishing primary research in the field. The journal publishes novel research of special significance in plant biology, especially in the areas of cellular biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, genetics, development, and evolution.
Crispin Taylor, ASPB CEO, said “We are excited that Plant Physiology® and The Plant Cell are entering a new phase in their development by joining the OUP portfolio. We believe the digital capabilities and deep publishing experience of OUP will create new opportunities to expand the visibility and influence of the important research being published in our journals. And we expect that this partnership will allow the Society the freedom to explore new opportunities to better serve its members and support its mission.”
“OUP is delighted to be working collaboratively with ASPB to publish their leading journals and looks forward to broadening the reach of their high-quality content,” said Alison Denby, Vice President, Journals, at Oxford University Press.
