UKSG is monitoring the coronavirus outbreak closely and will provide updates when we can. The conference will take place as scheduled on the 30th of March unless the UK government advice changes.
We are working closely with the conference venue – the Brighton Centre – to bolster hygiene measures, such as ensure hand sanitisers and soap/hot water are available throughout the building, and also looking at changing the seating arrangements to ensure more space between seats. The critical advice from Public Health England (updated 9th March) relates to personal hygiene and not travelling if you feel unwell. (See also here, if you are in a country affected by the virus). All of our conference delegates are encouraged to read this advice.
We will continue to closely monitor the official advice, and should that advice change, react accordingly.
