About the Event
This webinar provides some perspectives on AI technology for the library and how libraries have currently employed it into their eco-systems in easy, efficient and empowering ways. We will also learn how the library has been a driving force in the further development of AI technology and during times of crisis how it has been an asset to the library services for users.

From 2010, Manisha spent 8 years working as the Senior Sales Manager for the non-profit aggregator BioOne and has extensive international experience working with academic libraries. During this time, Manisha also spent three years managing the consultancy business at Publishers Communications Group (PCG) as the Business Development Manager working with academic publishers. At the start of 2018 Manisha joined Yewno, a Silicon Valley tech start-up focused on providing next generation AI technology to academic libraries and publishers as the Vice President of Business Development. Manisha is on the ALPSP Conference Organising Committee and also sits on the UKSG Sub Committee for Education.

Ken set up his consulting business in 2007. His mission is to help make libraries, information services and archives more effective. Ken works with libraries, archives, universities, the NHS, sector bodies, and businesses to help with strategy, user experience, understanding needs, business models, value propositions and innovation. He also reviews services and helps procure new technology solutions. Ken has published and presented widely and manages a number of free, open community resources including Higher Education Library Technology (HELibTech). He is an advisory board member of the open access journal Studies in Arts & Humanities.

Ben has been the Director of Advocacy and Outreach at Digital Science since 2018, prior to that he was European Sales Lead at Altmetric, also a Digital Science company, for four years. Ben has worked in academic publishing and information services since 2004. Previously at John Wiley & Sons and The American Chemical Society, he represented the introduction of the Summon Library Discovery service in Northern Europe while at ProQuest. Ben has also worked in TV and radio Media Monitoring in Australia as well as CleanTech and Digital Media sector analysis.
