Accommodation

Birmingham has a plentiful supply of varied accommodation options to suit all budgets – the venue accommodation can be booked via the online website – https://www.leonardohotels.co.uk/hotels/birmingham

Badges

All attendees are required to wear a conference badge.  Badges should be collected from the registration desk on arrival and worn throughout the day.   Registration will take place in linked rooms – 112/114/116 this can be found on the first floor which is accessible via lifts or stairs and adjoining the exhibition area.  There will be no on-site registration.

Car Parking

The hotel has 200 parking spaces onsite which are available on a first-come first-served basis.

Please note that the hotel’s postcode is B1 2HQ, but in order to access the car park on Berkley Street, please use the postcode B1 2LF. The cost per 24 hours is £16.50. There is a height restriction of 1.7m. The following tariffs apply:

  • Up to 1 hour: £2.50
  • Up to 2 hours: £4.00
  • Up to 3 hours: £5.00
  • 4 to 6 hours: £8.00
  • 7 to 10 hours: £11.50
  • 11 to 24 hours: £16.50

Please note: There is a height restriction of 1.7m in the multistorey car park.

The nearest public car park is 4 min walk away at Brindley Place. It is opened 24 hours and the cost is £20.00 for 24 hours.

From June 2021, the Birmingham Clean Air Zone (CAZ) came into effect and operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. It is designed to reduce vehicle emissions inside the city centre. Damages

Any damage which has been caused by your company will be charged by the hotel to your company, please do not stick anything to the wall of the exhibition room.

Delegate List

A delegate list will be provided to exhibitors approximately 1 week prior to the event direct to the person who made your booking (name and organisation only, as usual).

Deliveries will only be accepted from Wednesday 4th December.

Exhibitors should ensure that arrangements are made for the collection or disposal of all items at the end of the event.  All items for collection should be clearly labelled with full contact details and be collected by end of Friday 6th December, please notify a member of the hotel staff of these details before you leave.  UKSG and the hotel are unable to arrange return shipments on your behalf.

Items not collected by this time will be put into temporary storage but there is no guarantee that they will not be disposed of after the stated collection time cut-off.

UKSG and the venue cannot take responsibility for any goods delivered by courier or postal services that are received by the organisers or their on-site representatives.

Disability Access

Throughout the hotel, accessibility features include:

  • Accessible toilets in public areas
  • Lifts to all floors

Located at the front entrance to the hotel is ramp for easy access.

Drop off points

The hotel suggests if you are dropping off large items this is best done by parking in the car park on Berkley Street, please use the postcode B1 2LF.  There is a rear entrance where a lift is available to directly access the 1st floor where the event is taking place.

Alternatively, there is limited on street parking on Berkley Street which is pay and display with access to both the rear and front entrance of the hotel.

Height restrictions

Please note the ceiling height in the exhibition room is 2.3m

Set up Information

The forum opens to delegates for registration at 09:30am, you are welcome to set up your tabletop space from 08:30am and we ask you to ensure you are fully set up by 09:30am.   The exhibition will be held in linked rooms – 105/106/108/110

Smoking

In accordance with legislation, the venue operates a No Smoking policy in ALL enclosed areas.

Storage

There is no space available at the hotel for storage during the event.  You will need to store packaging underneath your table.

Sustainability 

If you have any left over give aways you do not wish to take back to the office please let the organisers know and we can arrange for them to be gifted to an appropriate charity.  If you have any large items eg banners/posters please ensure you take these away with you to arrange suitable recycling.  The hotel is unable to depose of any large items on your behalf.

Travel Information
