Last week Rob Johnson attended the UKSG Forum in Brighton – “one of my favourite days in the scholarly communications calendar.” The unofficial theme? Necessity is the mother of invention. Speaker after speaker described shrinking budgets, reduced teams, and constrained spaces. But what emerged wasn’t despair but rather creativity, collaboration, and community.
