Yale University Press restores access to unavailable books with Paradigm’s services

29 May 2025

Paradigm Publishing Services will digitize previously out-of-print titles for the Yale University Press catalog going back to 1908. Yale joins a growing list of prestigious university presses working with Paradigm’s digitization team that has converted over 100,000 print books in over a dozen languages for more than fifteen small publishers. All converted eBooks will be exclusively available for global distribution to academic libraries on www.degruyterbrill.com.

“Our partnership with Yale University Press to digitize its out-of-print books opens new revenue opportunities, strengthens library access, and demonstrates what’s possible when mission-driven publishing and modern infrastructure come together to serve scholars and institutions globally,” said Paradigm’s Managing Director Steve Fallon.

“Working with Paradigm allows us to breathe new life into our backlist by not only preserving our publishing legacy but also by expanding its reach. This initiative reflects our commitment to ensuring that Yale’s contributions to scholarship continue to inform, inspire, and generate impact in today’s digital research environment,” said John Donatich, Director, Yale University Press.
