10 March 2025

Access Innovations, provider of Data Harmony software, has been included the 2025 KMWorld List of 100 Companies that Matter in Knowledge Management. This is the 10th time Access Innovations has been included on the prestigious list.

“In these turbulent times, the ability of knowledge management companies to grow, adapt, change and evolve is a testament to the value of KM within organizations large and small. Business transformation continues at a rapid pace, fueled by improved access to vital information and the concomitant use of knowledge to drive new insights that affect productivity, customer relationships and employee satisfaction. This annual designation highlights companies important in the KM ecosphere!” said Marydee Ojala, KMWorld Editor-In-Chief.

“As always, we are pleased to be recognized by KMWorld. Our goal for Data Harmony and for all our products and services is to continue to evolve them, incorporating the best of growing technology such as Artificial Intelligence while maintaining their core value, accuracy and reliability. We pride ourselves on creating more accurate and precise search, which is increasingly important for clients and for those they serve as online information continues to become increasingly overwhelming,” said Heather Kotula, president and CEO of Access Innovations.

Kotula noted Access Innovations launched its AI-based system in 1997, and it has been in use at client sites since then, with continuous improvements and new releases every year.

She explained that Access Innovations focuses on improving the quality of LLMs (large language models) which are the foundation of generative AI systems “Once someone queries a GPT or generative predictive text system, that system then queries the LLM. The system compiles words gathered from the LLM according to the algorithms in the GPT, so the results from AI are only as good as the quality of the LLM data. By focusing on that data, we help AI perform better with more accuracy and efficiency,” she said.
