EARLL are looking for new committee members to help run the network.
If you consider yourself an early career professional in academic and research libraries or a library/information student and are interested in any of the below roles, they want to hear from you.
Based in London and the South East, but open to applicants from further afield, but events will be held in/around London.
Time commitment:
- Approx. 1-2 hours per week
- Quarterly Committee meetings
- Help running events (approx. 3 per year)
These are the roles currently available:
1 x Events Coordinator
Work with EARLL co-chairs to put together a range of events. We are aiming to arrange 3 events a year focusing on key topics affecting academic libraries and career development. There are also opportunities to work on events with other networks and to plan social events.
1 x Website Manager
The website manager will be responsible for keeping our website updated with information on events and network activity, as well as uploading blogs and developing website content. Experience using Wix would be beneficial but not essential.
2 x Social Media Managers
As one of the Social Media Managers you will be responsible for developing our social media presence. This will involve tweeting for EARLL 2-3 days a week, (aiming to tweet 2 – 3 times a day) focusing on promoting events and creating original content to engage members. Potential to expand EARLL’s presence to other social media platforms.
2 x Communications Managers
This role will involve creating a monthly EARLL newsletter based on content from events promoted on Twitter and other areas of interest from around the sector as well as responsibility for communications regarding EARLL events. The newsletter will be produced using MailChimp (no experience necessary). The communication managers will also be responsible for sourcing new blog posts for our website.
