UKSG has announced that following an internal staffing restructure, Alison Whitehorn, UKSG Business Manager, has left the organisation. Alison has worked for UKSG since January 1999, and she has made a major contribution to the success of the organisation over that period.

Going forward, a new role of Events Executive will be created. Some of the duties of the Business Manager role will be partially replaced by this new position. The Events Executive role will sit alongside other UKSG staff, with operational leadership for UKSG coming from the Executive Director. Presently, Bev Acreman is in post as Interim Executive Director.

Andrew Barker, Chair of UKSG said: ‘I would publicly like to thank Alison for all her hard work and excellent service to UKSG throughout her time with us. Many people will have very fond memories of the many UKSG conferences planned and delivered by Alison over the years, and we are grateful to her for all her service’.

Alison leaves the organisation with immediate effect, and all of UKSG wishes her all the best for the future.
