Josh Sendall

🎉 I’m delighted to share that, following a competitive internal process, I’ve been appointed as Acting University Librarian and Keeper of the Brotherton Collection at the University of Leeds, succeeding Masud Khokhar following his appointment as Chief Digital and Information Officer (CDIO) in June.

I’ll be seconded into my new role from 10 August 2025 through to 30 June 2027. One of my early priorities will be to arrange backfill for the Director of Library Services role via a competitive internal process.

I’m honoured to take on this role and build on the incredible legacy of leadership that Masud has established and the shared successes of our superb staff. Over the next two years, I look forward to working with our staff community and partners to advance our Libraries’ 2030 Vision: Knowledge for All—championing open knowledge, inclusive access, and digital transformation.

Together, we’ll continue to develop our libraries, collections, and galleries to support learning, enable world-class research, foster cultural engagement, and deepen our connections with communities—locally, regionally, and beyond 😊
