What is the UKSG Forum?

Now in its second year, the UKSG Forum is a dynamic exhibition and networking event designed to bring together the scholarly information community. 

In response to excellent feedback from our inaugural event, we have chosen a bigger venue for 2014 with more opportunity for:

  • Networking
  • Short sessions
  • Exhibition viewing
  • Individual meetings

The programme of short sessions will cover hot topics encompassing the theme of 'information without frontiers - barriers and solutions'.

New for 2014 - 'open mic' session (13.30 in the Edinburgh Room, Area B)

  • Sign up on the day to give a lightning talk or short product review.

Who can attend?

The UKSG Forum is free to anyone working for a UKSG member organisation (view the UKSG member list here); there is a charge of £65.00 + VAT for delegates from non-member organisations (or become a UKSG member here). 

Refreshments and lunch are provided and you will have access to the exhibition where over 45 publishers, intermediaries and technology vendors will be available.  The event will be rounded off with a drinks reception.

This is a great opportunity to raise your profile in a central London location.  Last year the event was sold out with the majority of attendees stating they would attend again.  A table-top exhibition stand costs £500 + VAT and a few are still available.

A limited number of private meeting rooms are available for hire:

  • £250 + VAT for a half day (am or pm)
  • Boardroom style seating 10 with plasma screen and refreshments
  • Preferential rate for standard sponsors at £175 + VAT
