About this event
EARLL is hosting a free, in person event to inform and support those interested in a career in Scholarly Communications within academic librarianship.
A subject expert will share their perspective of current issues in Scholarly Communications, as well their insight as a hiring manager and head of team on the skills, challenges and opportunities in the field. Then, a panel of experts at different career levels working within Scholarly Communications in academic libraries will provide an interactive Q&A discussing your questions and sharing their experience.
Attendance is aimed at people interested in learning more about Scholarly Communications careers, including those already working in other areas of library work, Library and Information Science students or those considering careers in academic library work.
Tickets:
We are implementing a two stage registration system to prioritise availability of tickets for attendees who are underrepresented and/or marginalised in the academic library profession.
Free priority registration is open for attendees who include People of Colour/Black and minority ethnicity/Non-White, English is an additional language, LGBTQIA+, Disabled people, Neurodiverse people and those from Working Class backgrounds.
