The American College of Physicians (ACP) has migrated the website of its flagship medical journal, Annals of Internal Medicine, to Atypon’s Literatum publishing platform. The revamped website delivers a new streamlined design, advanced search functionality, and improved navigation, while continuing to feature the same practice-enriching content that readers expect from Annals.
“The new site better reflects ACP’s brand of excellence and Annals’ commitment to delivering the latest peer-reviewed scientific research to physicians in a way that is most convenient and useful for them,” said Diane Scott-Lichter, Senior Vice President of Publishing at ACP.
The new website delivers all of the Annals of Internal Medicine content, including research articles, clinical guidelines, and commentary, podcasts, and CME courses. Moving to the Atypon platform enables the journal to dynamically generate user-specific content to deepen user engagement.
The streamlined design of the new site provides improved usability and readability including on mobile devices. Enhanced navigation and improved search function gets Annals subscribers to the content they want to see, more quickly and easily. Additionally, an enhanced visual display of related content allows easier navigation to additional content on similar topics.
“Our new Annals website helps busy clinicians get the important medical research and clinical content they need and delivers it in more engaging ways,” said Christine Laine, MD, MPH, Editor in Chief of Annals of Internal Medicine.
