UK academic libraries are being encouraged to participate in a research project about open access being conducted by Érudit in consultation with Raym Crow, senior consultant at SPARC. The aim is to better understand the increasing usage of Érudit's collection of 179 Canadian journals in the social sciences and the humanities by users located in the UK, in the context of the transition to open access.
Key facts
- more than 2 000 000 page views on the Érudit platform last year from users located in the UK
- the UK was fourth in the top countries visiting the Érudit platform last year
- more than an 180% annual increase of page views on the Érudit platform in 2018 from users located in the UK
Participation from UK academic libraries is essential to obtain realistic results for this research project, so those working in UK libraries are invited to learn more about the project and to indicate interest in participating by visiting the Partnership for Open Access website.
