23 November 2018
The next free UKSG webinar – Partnership working at The Hive: opening up access and opportunity – will take place on Tuesday 4 December 2018 at 1300 GMT.
As Europe's first integrated public and university library, The Hive in Worcester aims to open up opportunities and break down barriers. This webinar, led by Sarah Pittaway, Team Leader: Academic Services at the University of Worcester, will cover some of the practicalities of how such a shared service operates, including: systems integration; budgets, acquisitions and subscriptions; licences and walk-in access; staff and specialist support; and, spaces. Recognising that not everyone can have a library quite like The Hive, it will also reflect on some lessons and applicability.
Registration
UKSG webinars are open to members and non-members of UKSG alike. The session will last 45 minutes, including questions and answers (up to 60 minutes maximum if there is sufficient demand for an extended Q&A), and is recorded, so those unable to make the live webinar should register as normal, and a link to the recording will be sent as soon as it is available. Anyone with particular accessibility needs should contact maria@uksg.org.
