Delegates - How to Book
The official closing date for registrations has now passed and booking is closed. For further information, please contact Karen Sadler by email or by telephone - +44 (0)1865 310834
NB: UKSG reserves the right to alter or vary the programme due to events or circumstances beyond its reasonable control without being obliged to refund monies.
Sponsored Places for Students
UKSG is offering up to four free places for students to attend the 2011 Conference. These places are being supported by Elsevier whose contribution is very much appreciated.
The sponsorship award covers the cost of attendance at the conference, including all meals, entertainment and accommodation. Those eligible to apply are students enrolled on Library & Information and Publishing degree courses, whether currently studying full time or part time as undergraduates or postgraduates.
To be considered, students should write a letter of application to the UKSG Education Officer which should include a summary of why they would like to attend. This letter should be e-mailed to Alison Whitehorn, UKSG Business Manager (email@example.com). A note of endorsement from the applicant’s tutor to support their submission should also be e-mailed to Alison. In return for the sponsorship, students are required to submit a critical appraisal of the conference. The best reports will be considered for publication in the Group's online journal, Serials. Travel expenses to and from the conference will also be repaid on presentation of the report.
The closing date for applications is Friday 18 February 2011.
Harrogate - Getting There
Harrogate sits right in the middle of the UK map and is easily accessible by road, rail and air.
Accommodation is not included in the delegate fee and must be booked separately. UKSG has worked with Osprey Events to set up a designated booking service which offers specially negotiated rates at a number of local hotels which are within walking distance of the conference venue.
The accommodation booking details give a list of hotels and a link to the accommodation booking form.
NB: Should you wish to cancel your accommodation booking you may do so free of charge one month prior to your arrival date. After this date one night's bed and breakfast will be charged to the credit card details you have supplied.
