UKSG Transfer notification list
The UKSG Transfer Working Group has established an e-mail list - the Transfer notification list - to improve communication about journal transfers and to provide a forum for the scholarly information community to post questions and issues about the UKSG Transfer Code of Practice. The e-mail list is particularly useful for publishers to post notices of journal ownership changes, and for librarians and others to be alerted to these ownership changes. All postings to the UKSG Transfer notification list are also posted on the UKSG Transfer notification blog. You can visit the blog and sign up for its RSS feed at http://www.uksg-transfer.blogspot.com/. Librarians, publishers, agents and any other interested parties are encouraged to join the list.
Librarians and agents - for more information and to sign up to the Transfer notification list please go to: http://www.jiscmail.ac.uk/TRANSFER
Publishers - Publishers can also sign up to the Transfer notification list by visiting http://www.jiscmail.ac.uk/TRANSFER. Publishers that sign up to the list will be asked to endorse the Transfer Code of Practice if they do not already do so.
Publishers are strongly encouraged to post information regarding journal transfers to the Transfer notification list within four weeks of signature of the new publishing contract or four months prior to the effective date of transfer, whichever is the later. Transfer recommends that the Receiving Publisher takes responsibility for providing this information, however submissions to the Transfer notification list will be accepted from the Transferring Publisher or the Receiving Publisher. To post information about journal transfers to the Transfer notification list, please either:
- Use the Journal Transfer Submission Form to post a message to the e-mail list and the blog
