The UKSG Transfer Working Group has established an email list on JISCMail to improve communication about journal transfers and to provide a forum for the scholarly information community to post questions and issues about the UKSG Transfer Code of Practice. The email list has been created for publishers to post notices of journal ownership changes and for librarians and others to post comments and questions about the Code. Librarians, publishers, agents and any other interested parties are welcome to join the list.
The Transfer Code of Practice states:
- Communication: the Transferring Publisher will use reasonable efforts to communicate journal transfer information to its customers, electronic table of contents alert customers, and relevant intermediaries within four weeks of signature of the contract or four months prior to the Effective Transfer Date, whichever is the later.
Post etiquette
Please note that only publishers who have publicly endorsed the UKSG Transfer code of practice may post information about journal transfers to the Transfer notification list.
