Serials: the journal for the international serials community

Serials is published three times a year by the UKSG and contains topical articles written by key librarians, publishers, vendors and other industry experts, along with conference reviews, editorial comment and updates on people in the global serials community. A full backfile of the journal is available online and issues over one year old are openly accessible.

A subscription to the journal's online edition (ISSN 0953-0460) is included with UKSG membership; non-members can also subscribe separately for £94.00 (£80.00 + VAT @ 17.5%).  Both members and subscribers may take out a print subscription (ISSN 1475-3308) for an additional £45.00 per year.

The E-Resources Management Handbook

UKSG recently commissioned a number of international serials industry experts to compile a much-needed handbook on e-resource management (ISBN: 0-9552448-0-3; 13-digit version: 978-0-9552448-0-3). This evolving e-book already forms a valuable and comprehensive guide for the entire information industry, and will continue to grow as new chapters are commissioned to address hot topics as they arise.

UKSG publishes regular white papers on key issues within the information industry. These are researched and written for UKSG by leading industry experts, and represent an invaluable resource for those wishing to find out more about contemporary issues.

Serials-eNews

UKSG's electronic newsletter (ISSN 1476-0576) is published every two weeks exclusively for UKSG members and subscribers. The newsletter and its associated web service provide up-to-the minute news of current issues and developments within the global serials industry.

LiveSerials Blog

UKSG also publishes an openly-accessible blog containing reviews from its annual conference and providing industry updates and reviews throughout the year.

Lis-e-journals Discussion List

UKSG also runs the informal, open discussion list lis-e-journals, a forum for all parties involved with e-resources to discuss matters relating to e-resource provision, including administration and management, licensing, access, consortial deals and so forth.
